Philadelphus ‘P1’ (PETITE PERFUME PINK) – Van den Dool Cultures Philadelphus ‘P1′ (PETITE PERFUME PINK) is the only Philadelphus with pink blooms.
The plant blooms for about six weeks during the summer.
The star-shaped pink flowers about 4 cm in diameter are translucent to white and sweetly fragrant on the inside.
This makes the flowers very attractive to bees and butterflies.
The plant forms a nice compact shrub.
The leaves are oval pointed and light green in color.
PETITE PERFUME PINK was won by Alan Postill of Hampsire, Great Britain, and is protected by plant breeders’ rights.
Van den Dool Cultures from Waddinxveen has submitted the plant for testing and is also marketing it.
